Popularny brytyjski magazyn ”Uncut” opublikował listę 150 najlepszych albumów pierwszej dekady XXI wieku.

Rok 2009 powoli dobiega końca i część serwisów muzycznych jest już w trakcie pisania rocznych podsumowań . Trochę dalej poszedł miesięcznik Uncut, który poza tradycyjną listą najlepszych pozycji bieżącego roku, przedstawił również swoje propozycje na najbardziej wyróżniające się pozycje z całego ostatniego dziesięciolecia. Na temat każdego z  albumów można przeczytać we wrześniowym wydaniu ”Uncut”, który jest dostępny również i w Polsce (m.in.w sieci sklepów Empik, cena wraz z dołączoną płytą: 49,50 zł). Pierwsze miejsce zajął album ”White Blood Cells” autorstwa rockowego zespołu White Stripes. Krążek odniósł duży sukces na całym świecie i był przełomowym momentem w karierze duetu z Detroit.  Aktualnie zespół przygotowuje kolejny album. W skład zespołu wchodzą tylko dwie osoby, na dodatek  była para małżeńska: Jack (wokal, gitara) i Meg White (perkusja).

To nie koniec dobrych wieści dla fanów zespołu White Stripes. Na liście znalazło się, aż 5 albumów ich autorstwa, a więc wszystkie jakie wydali w tym wieku. Co więcej w rankingu znalazły się również dwa albumy drugiego zespołu, w którym liderem jest Jack White, The Racounters. Poza uwielbieniem talentu White’a, dziennikarze miesięcznika ”Uncut”, docenili również zespoły Radiohead i Wilco, a także artystów Boba Dylana, Bruce’a Springsteena i Neila Younga (po 3 albumy na liście).
