Sonisphere Festival to seria europejskich koncertów odbywających przez całe lato. W roku debiutu festiwalu główną gwiazdą została legendarna Metallica, a wspomagać ją będą m.in. Mastodon, Linkin Park, Alice in Chains i Heaven & Hell.
Festiwal jest promowany przez Kilimanjaro Live i finansowany przez firmę AEG. Na europejskich scenach pojawią się największe gwiazdy ze świata rocka, metalu czy punk.
